Anglican DioceseCentral NewfoundlandCursilloThe Fifth DayThis page is dedicated to our Cursillista Brother and Sisters that have gone on to their final reward, to their FIFTH DAY Gerald Fifield January 18, 2005 By Carolyn Fowlow On January 18, 2005, we said good-bye to a dear soul mate after his very short bout with cancer. We had almost no time to prepare ourselves for the shock. Gerald was a quiet gentle man whose middle name should have been "easy to get along with". He always had a positive attitude no matter what the situation and never left you without saying good-bye with a smile on his face. He used all his God-given talents wisely...his carpenter's hands made all kinds of gifts for family, friends and church....he used those same hands an his voice to the glory of God every Sunday in church. He cared unceasingly for his family and who could ever forget his sense of humour ....his portrayal of Joey Smallwood and Prince Charles in our parish concerts? In his humble way, Gerald made himself a part of our lives forever. We'll miss him greatly, but he left a clear path for us to follow - in and among his last words were "continue on". So we will and if we follow in Gerald's footsteps we won't go far wrong. I write this on behalf of everyone whose life has been touched by Gerald Des Colores!
